A long time client of Blair had been relying on their IBM Power Systems infrastructure for a number of years. While seeking to meet their growing storage needs, a non-IBM vendor approached the client to implement a new storage system, promising full compatibility with their current IBM Power Systems Infrastructure.
Drawing from expertise and experience, Blair advised the client not to proceed with this third-party implementation and instead recommended they commission a proof-of-concept before committing to the entire project cost. The client proved Blair's assessment accurate and prevented the client from writing off $500K of infrastructure that would not have met their needs and ultimately would have failed.
