BTS was founded in 1996 by John Blair.  Originally known as Mid-Comp Computer Systems, Inc., the company became an IBM business partner in 1997 and a Premier Business Partner in 1998.  In 2001, the company was renamed Blair Technology Solutions Inc. to better represent its expansion from hardware/software supplier to full solutions provider.
